Merida Open: Siniakova sets up quarter-final clash against Cocciaretto
The Czech woman beats Ysaline Bonaventure 6-0, 7-5 in the quarter-finals

Czech Katerina Siniakova, the No 4 seed, defeated Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure 6-0, 7-5 to move into the quarter-finals of the Merida Open at the Yucatan Country Club on Thursday.
The Czech, the world’s 47th ranked singles and top-ranked doubles player, will meet Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 7 seed, for a place in the semi-finals.
In the previous round, Siniakova won the first set over Ukrainian qualifier Lesia Tsurenko 7-5 before her opponent retired from the match.
