Frenchwoman Alize Cornet moved into the second round of the Charleston Open by defeating American wildcard Fiona Crawley 6-0, 6-2 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Monday.
Cornet, ranked No 64, will face the winner of the match between Russian Anna Kalinskaya and Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 11 seed, next.
