Felix Auger-Aliassime to miss Monte-Carlo, hopes to return in Madrid
The Canadian has been struggling with a knee injury

Felix Auger-Aliassime has joined the exodus of big names from next week’s Monte-Carlo Masters.
The Canadian said he is struggling with pain in his left knee and does not want to risk further injury by making the quick transition from hard courts to clay courts.
The 22-year-old, who joins Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz in missing the event, hopes to be ready to play again at the Madrid Masters, which begins on April 26.
Nadal is not ready to return to action, still recovering from the hip injury he suffered at the Australian Open, while Alcaraz will miss the event due to a right hand injury.
Former world No 1 Andy Murray, however, could make his first appearance in Monte-Carlo since 2017 after moving up into a direct acceptance spot following the withdrawals.
