Second seed Daniel Evans won against Australian Alexei Popyrin 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the last eight of the Marrakech Open at the Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Thursday.
Evans, ranked No 30, will play the winner of the match between Italian qualifier Andrea Vavassori and Spaniard Jaume Munar next.
In the previous round of the Moroccan Open, Popyrin, ranked No 95, beat Moroccan wildcard Younes Lalami Laaroussi (6-3, 6-2).
