Portuguese Open: Top seed Ruud reaches semi-finals

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed, moved into the last 4 of the Portuguese Open by winning against Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 6-0 at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Friday evening.
Ruud, ranked No 5, will play Frenchman Quentin Halys next.
Ahead of his victory, the Norwegian defeated Portuguese wildcard João Sousa (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).
Baez, ranked No 32, won against Radu Albot (7-5, 7-6 (3)) and Pedro Cachin (6-4, 7-6 (2)) earlier in the tournament.
