Second seed Varvara Gracheva won against No 9 seed Kamilla Rakhimova 6-2, 7-5 to advance to the semi-finals of the Trophée Clarins at the Lagardère Paris Racing on Friday.
Gracheva, ranked No 46, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry and Czech Linda Noskova, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Varvara Gracheva beat French wildcard Carole Monnet (6-1, 3-6, 6-3) and Oksana Selekhmeteva (6-0, 6-3).
Rakhimova, ranked No 90, defeated Polina Kudermetova (6-3, 6-2) and wildcard Mirra Andreeva (6-2, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
