Roland-Garros: Shevchenko reaches second round with tight win over Oscar Otte

Russian Alexander Shevchenko edged out German Oscar Otte 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (2) to move into the second round of Roland-Garros at Stade Roland-Garros in Paris on Sunday evening.

Shevchenko, ranked No 84, was made to work hard for just short of three hours to dispatch the No 120 ranked Otte. Next up, the Russian will face 17th seed Lorenzo Musetti in the second round.
