WTA rankings: Swiatek’s reign continues, Muchova on the move

Iga’s still on top but there are some impressive leaps up the rankings into the Top 100

Iga Swiatek, three-time Roland-Garros champion, continues her reign, as Elena Rybakina moves up to world No 3, completing the triumvirate of the Big Three at the top of the rankings.

There are some big movers further down, though.

Muchova marvel

Karolina Muchova, who played so brilliantly over the fortnight and gave the world No 1 plenty to think about in the final, rockets up 27 places to world No 16.

Svitolina soars

This was the one everyone was watching – it’s a 119-place climb for Elina Svitolina, back after giving birth and back into the Top 100 as world No 73 after a run to the quarter-finals in her Grand Slam return.

Avanesyan arrives

The 20-year-old Elina Avanesyan came through qualifying in Paris and took out 12th seed Belinda Bencic in the first round. She fell in the fourth round to eventual runner-up Karolina Muchova but rises 54 places in the rankings to world No 80 – a new career high.

Sorribes Tormo back into Top 100

It was an eventful week for Sara Sorribes Tormo, reaching the fourth round in singles and gaining 50 places in the rankings to climb back to world No 82.

Andreeva knocking on door

16-year-old Mirra Andreeva rises 42 places after her Roland-Garros exploits and is now world No 101.
