Top seed Barbora Krejcikova advanced to the quarter-finals of the Birmingham Classic by winning against qualifier Tereza Martincova 6-4, 6-4 at Edgbaston Priory Club.
Having beaten a fellow Czech to reach the last eight, Krejcikova, ranked No 12, will face another compatriot in the form of hugely exciting youngster Linda Fruhvirtova next.
Barbora Krejcikova defeated Spanish qualifier Cristina Bucsa (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Birmingham tournament.
In the previous round of the Birmingham tournament, Martincova, ranked No 122, beat Bulgarian lucky loser Viktoriya Tomova (6-1, 6-3).
