Eastbourne International: Gauff breezes past Burrage for deserved place in quarter-finals

American Coco Gauff, the No 5 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne International by defeating lucky loser Jodie Burrage 6-1, 6-1 at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
Gauff, ranked No 7, will face the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula, the No 3 seed, and Colombian qualifier Camila Osorio next.
The 19-year-old American won against Bernarda Pera (6-3, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament, Burrage, ranked No 128, beat American qualifier Lauren Davis (4-6, 6-4, 6-3).
