Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 4 seed, won against German Yannick Hanfmann 7-6 (4), 6-4 to reach the final of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club on Friday evening.
Mannarino, ranked No 43 and into his 12th career ATP final, will play American Christopher Eubanks next.
Eubanks defeated Mannarino in their only previous meeting, in the round of 16 at Miami earlier this season.
The 35-year-old Frenchman beat Argentinian Guido Pella (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3) and Corentin Moutet (7-5, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Mallorca tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Hanfmann, ranked No 48, won against Argentinian Pedro Cachin (6-2, 6-1), Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the top seed (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) and Spanish wildcard Feliciano López (6-2, 6-4).
