Serb Novak Djokovic, the second seed, reached the final of Wimbledon by winning against Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (4) at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday.
Djokovic, ranked No 2, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 3 seed, next.
The 36-year-old Serb defeated Argentinian Pedro Cachin (6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (4)), Australian Jordan Thompson (6-3, 7-6 (4), 7-5), Swiss Stan Wawrinka (6-3, 6-1, 7-6 (5)), Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 17 seed (7-6 (6), 7-6 (6), 5-7, 6-4) and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 7 seed (4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3) in the previous rounds of The Championships.
Earlier in the tournament, Sinner, ranked No 8, won against Argentinian Juan Manuel Cerundolo (6-2, 6-2, 6-2), Argentinian Diego Schwartzman (7-5, 6-1, 6-2), Frenchman Quentin Halys (3-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4), Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan (7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-3) and Russian Roman Safiullin (6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2).
