Palermo Open: Zheng comes back against Paolini to win title in deciding set romp

Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the second seed, lifted the Palermo Open trophy by defeating Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Sunday evening.
Zheng, ranked No 26, beat Italian Sara Errani (6-0, 6-0), Frenchwoman Diane Parry (7-5, 3-6, 6-3), American Emma Navarro, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-2) and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed (6-4, 4-6, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Paolini, ranked No 52, defeated Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-4, 5-7, 6-2), Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (2-6, 6-4, 6-2), Russian Daria Kasatkina, the top seed (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) and Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo (7-6 (6), 6-0).
