Ladies Open Lausanne: Parry books spot in quarter-finals
Diane Parry beat Danka Kovinic 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday and will play the winner of the match between Swiss Jil Teichmann and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 7 seed, in the next round

Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 9 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Ladies Open Lausanne by beating Montenegrin Danka Kovinic 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday afternoon.
Parry, ranked No 90, will face the winner of the match between Swiss Jil Teichmann and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 7 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 20-year-old Frenchman won against wildcard Fiona Ferro (7-5, 2-6, 6-2).
Kovinic, ranked No 97, won against Swiss lucky loser Jenny Duerst (6-0, 6-2) in the previous round.
