Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the top seed, edged out Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-4 to move into the last 4 of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Thursday.
Etcheverry, ranked No 34, will face Argentinian Sebastian Baez next.
Ahead of his victory, the Argentinian beat qualifier Guido Andreozzi (6-2, 6-2).
Galan, ranked No 76, won against Italian Marco Cecchinato (6-2, 6-2) and edged out German Daniel Altmaier, the No 8 seed (3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8)) earlier in the tournament.
