Gauff cruises into Cincinnati third round
Coco Gauff beat Mayar Sherif in straight sets at the WTA Cincinnati 100 on Wednesday. Qualifier Linda Noskova is next up for the American.

American Coco Gauff, the No 7 seed, defeated Egyptian Mayar Sherif 6-2, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Western & Southern Open at the Linder Tennis Family Center in Cincinnati on Thursday night.
Gauff, ranked No 7, will play qualifier Linda Noskova next.
In the previous round of the Cincy Open, Sherif, ranked No 33, edged out Chinese qualifier Xiyu Wang (7-6 (3), 4-6, 7-6 (5)).
