Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 5 seed, beat Canadian Rebecca Marino 7-6 (4), 6-1 to reach the last 16 of the Chicago Women’s Open on Tuesday evening.
Bronzetti, ranked No 82, will face the winner of the match between Jodie Burrage and American Quinn Gleason next.
