Lucky loser Sachia Vickery advanced to the round of 32 of the Guadalajara Open Akron when Danielle Collins retired on Tuesday night.
Vickery, ranked No 175, led 7-6 (7) when Collins, ranked No 34, pulled out on Tuesday night.
Sachia Vickery will face Caroline Dolehide next.
