Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 5 seed, advanced to the last four of the Hong Kong Open by defeating Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo 7-6 (3), 6-3.
Blinkova, ranked No 37, will face the winner of the match between Canadian Leylah Fernandez and Linda Fruhvirtova next.
