Elizabeth Mandlik beat second seed Peyton Stearns 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Tampico Open at the Centro Libanés Mexicano de Tampico on Monday night.
Mandlik, ranked No 138, will play the winner of the match between Heather Watson and American Ann Li next.
