Midland Open: Sebov upsets Krueger to reach last eight

Canadian Katherine Sebov moved into the last eight of the Midland Open by beating American Ashlyn Krueger, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 6-0 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.
Sebov, ranked No 141, will face American Alycia Parks, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Canadian edged out Swiss qualifier Lulu Sun (6-3, 3-6, 7-5).
Krueger, ranked No 80, benefited from the abandonment of qualifier Varvara Lepchenko (6-1, 1-0) in the previous round of the Midland tournament.
