Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 7 seed, beat Australian Christopher O’Connell 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Sofia Open on Wednesday.
Ofner, ranked No 44, will play Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the second seed, next.
The Austrian won against Ukrainian qualifier Vitaliy Sachko (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) in the previous round.
During the 32, O’Connell, ranked No 66, edged out Serb Hamad Medjedovic (6-7 (3), 6-1, 7-6 (2)).
