Slovenian Polona Hercog moved into the second round of the Colina Open by winning against Romanian Miriam Bulgaru 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 at the Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica on Monday evening.
Hercog, ranked No 332, will play the winner of the match between Egyptian wildcard Mayar Sherif and Argentinian Julia Riera next.
