Latvian wildcard Anastasija Sevastova moved into the last eight of the Andorrà Open by edging out Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the No 4 seed, 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-4 at Polideportivo de Andorra in Andorre on Thursday evening.
Anastasija Sevastova will face Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Andorrà tournament, the 33-year-old Latvian won against Spaniard Irene Burillo Escorihuela (6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-1).
Yastremska, ranked No 106, defeated Russian Ekaterina Makarova (6-2, 6-2) in the previous round of the Andorrà tournament.
