Top seed Paul sees off home hope in Adelaide

American Tommy Paul, the top seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Adelaide Open by defeating Australian qualifier Alex Bolt 6-3, 6-2 at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Wednesday night.
Paul, ranked No 14, will play Jack Draper next, who saved match points en route to his victory of Miomir Kecmanovic.
In the previous round of the Adelaide tournament, Bolt, ranked No 325, won against Brazilian lucky loser Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-3, 6-2).
