WTA Hobart: Navarro comes back against Tomova to make semi-finals

American Emma Navarro, the second seed, defeated Bulgarian lucky loser Viktoriya Tomova 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Hobart International at the Hobart ’s Domain Tennis Centre on Thursday night.
Navarro, ranked No 31, will play the winner of the match between Kazakh qualifier Yulia Putintseva and Chinese qualifier Yue Yuan next.
The 22-year-old American won against Frenchwoman Clara Burel (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Pole qualifier Magdalena Frech (6-3, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Hobart tournament, Tomova, ranked No 77, beat Italian Martina Trevisan (6-3, 6-3) and German Tatjana Maria, the No 9 seed (6-0, 6-1).
