Katie Boulter beat Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 6 seed, 6-2, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Upper Austria Ladies at the TipsArena in Linz.
Boulter, ranked No 53, will play the winner of the match between Italian Martina Trevisan and Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova next.
