Thailand Open: Zhu defeats compatriot Wang, will meet Shnaider in the final

Second seed Lin Zhu moved into the final of the Thailand Open by beating Yafan Wang 6-3, 6-2 at the True Arena Hua Hin.
Zhu, ranked No 45, will play Russian Diana Shnaider next, after the 19-year-old reached her second ever WTA-level final by beating Xinyu Wang earlier.
Ahead of her victory, Lin Zhu defeated Australian qualifier Taylah Preston (6-4, 7-5), Linda Fruhvirtova (6-2, 6-2) and Australian Arina Rodionova (6-3, 6-3).
Wang, ranked No 78, beat Russian qualifier Alina Korneeva (6-2, 6-4), Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-4) and American Katie Volynets (1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4)) earlier in the tournament.
