Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open: Haddad Maia moves into last four, beats Jabeur

Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 6 seed, beat Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the second seed, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the semi-finals of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Friday afternoon.
Haddad Maia, ranked No 13, will play the winner of the match between Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 7 seed, and Romanian Sorana Cirstea next.
Ahead of her victory, the Brazilian won against Chinese wildcard Xiyu Wang (6-2, 7-6 (4)) and Pole Magda Linette (7-6 (6), 6-7 (1), 6-1).
Jabeur, ranked No 6, defeated wildcard Emma Raducanu (6-4, 6-1) in the previous round of the Abu Dhabi tournament.
