Dubai Open: Paolini beats Fernandez to set up Sakkari clash
The Italian won against Leylah Fernandez 6-3, 6-4 on Tuesday and will play Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 8 seed, in the next round

Italian Jasmine Paolini won against Canadian Leylah Fernandez 6-3, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Dubai Open at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
Paolini, ranked No 26, will play Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 8 seed, next.
The Italian defeated Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 11 seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-0) in the previous round of the Dubai tournament.
Earlier in the week, Fernandez, ranked No 33, beat American qualifier Bernarda Pera (6-3, 6-2).
