Mexican Open: De Minaur books spot in second round
Alex De Minaur won against Taro Daniel 6-2, 6-1 on Tuesday and will play the winner of the match between Mexican wildcard Ernesto Escobedo and Austrian Sebastian Ofner in the next round

Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 3 seed, reached the second round of the Mexican Open by winning against Japanese Taro Daniel 6-2, 6-1 at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Tuesday.
De Minaur, ranked No 9 in the world, will play the winner of the match between Mexican wildcard Ernesto Escobedo and Austrian Sebastian Ofner next.
The Australian is the defending champion in Acapulco this week having beaten American Tommy Paul in the final last year.
