Mexican Open: Ofner through to second round, faces de Minaur next
Sebastian Ofner edged out Ernesto Escobedo 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (4) in the first round on Tuesday

Austrian Sebastian Ofner edged out Mexican wildcard Ernesto Escobedo 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (4) to advance to the second round of the Mexican Open at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Tuesday.
Ofner, ranked No 37, will face Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 3 seed, next.
