Chile Open: Varillas outlasts Comesana to make second round

Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas advanced to the second round of the Chile Open by winning against Argentinian lucky loser Francisco Comesana 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Tuesday evening.
Varillas, ranked No 119, will face second seed Sebastian Baez next.
