Charleston Open 125: Cocciaretto wins the final

Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 4 seed, won the Charleston Open 125 trophy by beating Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 7 seed, 6-3, 6-2 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Saturday.
Ahead of her victory, Cocciaretto, ranked No 60, defeated Australian Arina Rodionova (6-3, 6-2), Spanish qualifier Marina Bassols Ribera (6-0, 6-3), American qualifier Mccartney Kessler (7-5, 6-3) and Belgian Greet Minnen (7-6 (4), 6-1).
Shnaider, ranked No 74, beat American wildcard Dalayna Hewitt (6-2, 6-4), Romanian Jaqueline Cristian (6-1, 7-5), Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin (6-3, 6-2) and Chinese Yafan Wang, the No 6 seed (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
