Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 8 seed, beat Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the No 28 seed, 7-5, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night.
Sakkari, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 22 seed, and Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 9 seed, next.
The Greek, who read the final of Indian Wells last week, won against Chinese Yue Yuan (6-2, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
