Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa won against Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai, the No 3 seed, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the La Bisbal d’Emporda Open at the Club Esportiu CT La Bisbal in La Bisbal d’Emporda on Monday.
Kawa, ranked No 181, will face Russian qualifier Oksana Selekhmeteva next.
