Marrakech Open: Navone ousts Wawrinka to make last eight

Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 7 seed, won against Swiss Stan Wawrinka 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the Marrakech Open at Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Thursday evening.
Navone, ranked No 60, will play the winner of the match between Australian Aleksandar Vukic and Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the second seed, next.
The Argentinian defeated Tunisian wildcard Aziz Dougaz (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Marrakech tournament.
In the previous round of the Marrakech tournament, Wawrinka, ranked No 82, won against Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-1, 6-4).
