Bucharest Open: Tabilo ends Fonseca’s run to move into semi-finals
Alejandro Tabilo edged out Joao Fonseca 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Friday afternoon. He’ll face Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in the next round

Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 4 seed, edged out Brazilian wildcard Joao Fonseca 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 to move into the semi-finals of the Bucharest Open at the National Tennis Centre.
Tabilo, ranked No 41, will play Hungarian Marton Fucsovics next.
The Chilean defeated Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-3, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Bucharest tournament, Fonseca, ranked No 276, won against Italian Lorenzo Sonego, the No 6 seed (7-6 (5), 7-5) and qualifier Radu Albot (7-6 (2), 6-2).
