Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, won the Stuttgart Open final by defeating Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk 6-2, 6-2 at the Porsche-Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier in the tournament, Rybakina, ranked No 4, beat Russian Veronika Kudermetova (7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-4), Italian Jasmine Paolini (6-3, 5-7, 6-3) and Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed (6-3, 4-6, 6-3).
Kostyuk, ranked No 27, defeated German wildcard Laura Siegemund (6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-4), Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 5 seed (6-2, 4-6, 7-5), American Coco Gauff, the No 3 seed (3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6)) and No 6 seed Marketa Vondrousova (7-6 (2), 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Stuttgart tournament.
