Italian Open: Kerber thrashes Kudermetova to move into third round in style
Angelique Kerber beat Kudermetova 6-3, 6-0. She’ll face the winner of the match between Sasnovich and Alexandrova in the next round

German Angelique Kerber moved into the third round of the Italian Open by defeating Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 17 seed, 6-3, 6-0 at the Foro Italico in Rome.
Kerber, ranked No 331, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 14 seed, next.
The 36-year-old German won against American Lauren Davis (6-1, 6-0) in the previous round of the Rome tournament.
