Alert: Paolini makes quick work of Andreev in semi-finals
Jasmine Paolini eased past Mirra Andreeva in straight sets on Thursday at Roland-Garros. Paolini is into her first Grand Slam title match.

Jasmine Paolini, the No 12 seed, defeated Russian Mirra Andreeva 6-3, 6-1 in the Roland-Garros semi-finals on Thursday afternoon.
Paolini will face world No 1 Iga Swiatek in Saturday’s final.
Ahead of Thursday’s victory Paolini ousted Australian Daria Saville (6-3, 6-4), American lucky loser Hailey Baptiste (6-4, 7-6 (6)), Canadian Bianca Andreescu (6-1, 3-6, 6-0), Russian Elina Avanesyan (4-6, 6-0, 6-1) and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed (6-2, 4-6, 6-4).
Andreeva run to the last four featured wins over American Emina Bektas (6-2, 6-3), Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 19 seed (6-3, 3-6, 7-5), American Peyton Stearns (6-2, 6-1), Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva (7-5, 6-2) and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed (6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4).
