Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the top seed, advanced to the last four of the BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia by winning against Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 6-1 on Friday.
Tomova, ranked No 69, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Laura Pigossi and Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich next.
The Bulgarian beat Croat Lea Boskovic (6-0, 4-6, 6-2) and Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva (7-5, 2-6, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Semenistaja, ranked No 116, edged out Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-4) and Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (3-6, 6-3, 6-4).
