Eastbourne Open: Shang reaches last eight
Juncheng Shang edged out Emil Ruusuvuori 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the top seed, and Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild in the next round

Chinese qualifier Juncheng Shang reached the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne Open by edging out Finn Emil Ruusuvuori 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday.
Shang, ranked No 104, will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the top seed, and Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild next.
In the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament, the 19-year-old Chinese edged out Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 7 seed (7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (4)).
Ruusuvuori, ranked No 88, won against Cameron Norrie (7-6 (9), 6-3) during the first round of the Eastbourne tournament.
