Hamburg Open: Fils too strong for Djere, advances to last eight

Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 5 seed, beat Serb Laslo Djere 7-6 (3), 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Open at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center.
Fils, ranked No 28, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian qualifier Marco Trungelliti and Dane Holger Rune, the second seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the 20-year-old Frenchman defeated Spaniard Jaume Munar (5-7, 6-3, 6-1).
Djere, ranked No 57, beat Belgian Zizou Bergs (6-3, 7-6 (4)) in the previous round of the Hamburg tournament.
