Top seed Sebastian Baez reached the quarter-finals of the Generali Open by winning against Thiago Agustin Tirante 6-3, 6-3 at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Wednesday evening.
Baez, ranked No 18, will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Hugo Gaston and Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 7 seed, next.
Tirante, ranked No 101, defeated Austrian Dominic Thiem (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Kitzbuhel tournament.
