German Yannick Hanfmann beat Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-6 (2), 6-4 to move into the last four of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Thursday.
Hanfmann, ranked No 116, will play the winner of the match between American wildcard Nicolas Moreno De Alboran and Italian Matteo Berrettini next.
The German won against Spaniard Jaume Munar (6-3, 6-4) and Brazilian lucky loser Gustavo Heide (6-3, 1-6, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Seyboth Wild, ranked No 72, won against Austrian wildcard Joel Josef Schwaerzler (6-2, 7-6 (6)) and Serb Laslo Djere, the No 8 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-2).
