Washington Open: Rakhimova through to second round to face Sabalenka
The Russian qualifier defeated American Katie Volynets 6-4, 6-3 in the first round on Tuesday

Russian qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova advanced to the second round of the Washington Open by defeating American Katie Volynets 6-4, 6-3 at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Rakhimova, ranked No 105, will play top seed Aryna Sabalenka next.
