Hamburg European Open: Bondar battles past Danilovic to reach final

Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 4 seed, advanced to the final of the Hamburg European Open by edging out Serb Olga Danilovic 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.
Bondar, ranked No 94, will face the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 3 seed, and Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse next.
In the previous rounds, the Hungarian won against German qualifier Anna Petkovic (6-1, 6-3), Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl (7-6 (5), 6-3) and German Eva Lys, the No 7 seed (6-0 ret.).
Danilovic, ranked No 121, beat Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, the No 6 seed (6-3, 6-1), German Noma Noha Akugue (3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6)) and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the top seed (3-6, 6-2, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
