Cincinnati Masters: Baez edges past Giron to move into second round

Argentinian Sebastian Baez edged out American Marcos Giron 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (6) to advance to the second round of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

Baez, ranked No 20, will play the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson and Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 13 seed, next.
