Cleveland Open: Siniakova survives, into quarter-finals
Katerina Siniakova edged out Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in a third-set tiebreaker on Wednesday and will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo and American Peyton Stearns, the No 6 seed, in the next round.

No 3 seed Katerina Siniakova reached the last eight of the Cleveland Open by defeating Spanish qualifier Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2) at Jacobs Pavilion on Wednesday afternoon.
Siniakova, ranked No 36, will next play the winner of the match between Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo and American Peyton Stearns, the No 6 seed.
Katerina Siniakova edged out Japanese qualifier Sayaka Ishii (6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round of the Cleveland tournament.
In the previous round of the Cleveland tournament, Bouzas Maneiro — ranked No 80 — defeated Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva (4-6, 6-3, 6-2).
